For the third year in a row the German Program in the International Education Centre, Shah Alam, opened up its gates to welcome anyone interested in German culture, to the long awaited GERMAN WEEK 2009. This year we added some funky new activities, such as the singing contest „German Idol“, that brought even more fun to our thrilling week. Visitors enjoyed a deep insight into Germany‘s culture, history and diversity revealed by the Exhibition. The cooking competition as well as the Singing Competition have been a big blast. Participants and the audience truly enjoyed it. And Throughout the Week student could watch the latest movies from Germany - of course with English subtitles. Unfortunately we had to cancel all activities on the 26th of July due to assumed cases of H1N1. But the flawless Closing Ceremony on the 20th August with the German Ambassador, H.E.
